Mount Hamyak is one of the gems of the Ukrainian Carpathians, with a height of 1542 meters, located in the Chornohora range, in the heart of the Carpathian National Nature Park. Routes and Trekking

The ascent to Mount Hamyak is considered moderately difficult, and experienced guides recommend it even for beginners. The main routes to the mountain start from the village of Yablunytsia or the Bukovel resort. Trekking includes passing through forest trails, meadows, as well as rocky slopes.

  • Route from Yablunytsia: The distance to the summit is about 6 km and takes approximately 3-4 hours one way.
  • Route from Bukovel: Shorter in distance but steeper, usually takes about 2.5-3 hours one way.

Landscapes and Nature

From the top of Mount Hamyak, there is an impressive 360-degree view in all directions: from Hoverla to Petros. In spring and summer, tourists can admire the richness of alpine flora, and in autumn — the golden and red shades of the forests. Winter turns Hamyak into a wonderful place for winter mountaineering and snow walks.
